D-Back game

Friday night we were able to go to the Diamond Back's game with some of the families from Kyle's school class. We had a lot of fun... but due to the time that the game started we left in the seventh inning stretch... AND James and I had to carry Ryan to the car because he was fast asleep, I swear the car didn't seem that far away going to the game. Who moved it while we were in there?

Here we all are (well except me because I'm taking the picture) before the game started.

Here's the team mascot(?) yeah I don't know why they've got a cat I thought they were the Diamond Backs, a snake...

Kyle's teacher Ms. Brekke.

Kyle just hanging out with his friends.

Here are the ten kids from Kyle's class that came to the game, with Ms. Brekke. I hope there's extra credit for this...

Basha Family Fun Night

Tonight was Basha Elementary Family Fun Night. All of the classes were asked to make a basket for the silent action. I'm the room parent for Tylor's class, so the theme for their basket was family game night. I think it turned out good for the first basket that I have made. The school end up with about 30 baskets. Some were put into a raffle and the rest were actioned off.
Along with the baskets, the school has games to play and food to eat.

Ryan had fun playing the games that they has set up. I did try to get a picture of Ryan coming down the side but my camera is not that fast or was Ryan too fast coming down. I didn't get any picture of Tylor because he was with his friends. James and Kyle were at home, because Kyle was sick.

Easter

Is it me or is it hard to help the kids remember the real meaning of Easter?
It is nice that Easter is a Sunday Holiday, at least then they get some more of the real meaning of Easter from other people too. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the more secular parts of the holiday I just wish that they didn't dominate it as much as they seem to. I don't know but I guess what I'm trying to say is that when I think of Easter of the Resurrection I think of everything Jesus did for us and then I think of my own life and where I'm at and where I want to be.

We try to keep the whole egg and bunny stuff low key each year. On Saturday afternoon the boys colored eggs along with James and I. I only got a pictures of James and Ryan at the task.

Saturday night before bed Ryan got out the eggs we'd colored as he wanted to make sure that the Easter bunny could find them easily.

Here are the boys hunting for Easter eggs. As you can see they don't carry around their Easter baskets but instead just try to hold as many as they can as they try to pick up more eggs.

After church Ryan and Kyle took turns hiding Easter eggs for each other (while the other one waited in the play room) and then they'd help the one looking find some of the eggs they'd hidden... priceless...
